Sometimes we have to wear different roles as Raelynn’s caregivers. Not only do we put on the roles of parents, nurses, and doctors, we also take on the roles of advocates for Raelynn’s nurses. We want to make sure they are getting the best pay that they can, so that Raelynn will continue to get the best nursing help that she can.
So we’re not afraid of having difficult conversations with nursing agencies in order to make that happen. We had to have one of those conversations this week.
We’re definitely willing to switch agencies if that means higher pay for Raelynn’s nurses. We are very grateful for her nurses!
(We’re also very grateful for the nurse agencies, but we still want to pass on as much pay to the people in our home as possible)
