This is a seizure that Raelynn had when she was 17 months old. We had only been fostering her for a couple weeks at this point, so we were still definitely learning what her seizures looked like.
I know it can feel weird to “like” a video like this, but it really does help us to keep making these kinds of videos, which can then inform parents and others who have questions about seizures.

We don’t know exactly when Raelynn began having seizures. We do know that she was having them before we started fostering her. We also have pictures of her from when she was about 2 months old getting an EEG, so she was likely having them from birth.
We’ve tried many medications and diets over the years, and while some seem to help more than others, there have always been drawbacks. She currently has somewhere between 2 and 9 seizures per day.
We used to use an app called Seizure Tracker to record and monitor many of Raelynn’s seizures. You can find other seizures we (and others) recorded by searching YouTube for “ST Event.” It was very helpful as we wanted to be able to share data with her doctors, and also see how her seizures changed over time.
