How the last 90 days changed my life

This is basically a video diary of my sabbatical journey. I mean, day one was just a blur, trying to figure out where to even begin.

We went on a little vacation, and did all the usual vacation type stuff – hiking, swimming, you name it. But we also checked out this cool place called Mariachi Plaza. Man, the music there was so loud, but in a good way, you know? And then there was this cute little church we visited. It was like something out of a movie, super cozy and all.

Oh, and get this, we even went to a cemetery! Not your typical vacation spot, but it was actually pretty interesting. There was this shrine thing with all these cool art scenes about Jesus. And yeah, there were some odd things too, like people leaving coins and stuff. Kinda weird, but hey, to each their own, right?

And then, of course, we hit up Bass Pro Shop. Bowling, fish watching, and we even met one of our biggest fans, Susan. She’s been super generous to us, especially around Christmas time. So, shoutout to Susan!

I’ve been trying to get into this whole running thing. Had a pretty decent run yesterday, about 4.2 miles. Not too shabby, right? But man, running in the rain is a whole different story. Ended up soaking wet, but hey, at least it’s a good story, right?

Anyway, fast forward a bit, and I’m finally feeling a bit more hopeful about things. Took some time to declutter the house and donate some old stuff. Feels good to clear out the junk, you know?

Oh, and I’ve been diving into some deep thinking too. Spent time in a secluded cabin, just me and a bunch of books. It was kinda like soul-searching, you know? Reflecting on where life’s headed and stuff.

But here’s the kicker – I tried to feed some goats, and let’s just say, it didn’t exactly go as planned. Those little critters are picky eaters, I tell ya!

Now, onto the big stuff. I’ve been pondering the future of this channel. Thinking about changing the name to “Hope and Sunshine.” Why? Well, because I want you to feel hopeful, even on those foggy days when life’s a bit uncertain.

And speaking of uncertain, we’ve had a few hospital stays with Raelyn lately. Just some virus stuff, nothing too serious. But it’s been a reminder to appreciate the little things, you know?

So yeah, that’s the gist of it. Life’s a rollercoaster, but hey, we’re riding it together. And who knows what’s next? All I know is, I’m feeling hopeful, and I hope you are too.
