This is an infantile epileptic seizure on camera. It is a tonic-clonic seizure (also called a grand mal seizure).
I know it may feel weird to “like” a video like this, but it really does help us continue making videos that help parents who are seeking answers about seizures.

Raelynn is 18 months old in this video. We started fostering Raelynn only a couple weeks before this seizure. We were still very much learning how to care for her during her seizures. The video ends just before giving Raelynn Diastat, which is what her doctor prescribed for an episode that last longer than 5 minutes.
Raelynn still has some seizures that are quiet like the one in this video, but most of her tonic-clonic seizures are more loud and explosive. She had many of these quieter seizures when we first brought her into our home, but as she got older, her seizures have changed. You can find more recent videos of seizures in links below.
